Punjab Education Minister Announces New Winter School Timings

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced on his official Facebook page that schools across the province will observe new timings during the winter season.

According to the minister, schools will open at 8:45 a.m. and close at 1:30 p.m. under the revised schedule. The change aims to ensure student safety and comfort during colder mornings, particularly as temperatures continue to drop across Punjab.

Although the official notification has not yet been issued, it is expected to be released soon by the Punjab School Education Department. Once notified, the new timings will come into effect immediately.

The minister has been actively sharing updates about educational reforms and administrative decisions on his social media platforms, ensuring parents and teachers stay informed in real time.

The revised schedule follows similar adjustments made in previous years when school hours were delayed to help children avoid exposure to cold weather during early mornings.
