The Punjab government has set new winter working hours for all male and female teachers in public and private schools across the province.
The schedule will take effect from October 16, 2025, and remain in force until March 31, 2026.
According to details, single-shift male teachers will work from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays.
Single-shift female teachers will perform duties from 8:15 AM to 2:45 PM during the week and from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM on Fridays.
For double-shift schools, morning-shift male teachers will work from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM Monday through Thursday and until 12:30 PM on Fridays.
Afternoon or evening-shift male teachers will serve from 12:45 PM to 5:30 PM during the week and from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Fridays.
Female teachers assigned to the morning shift will work from 8:15 AM to 12:45 PM Monday through Thursday and until 12:30 PM on Fridays.
Those on the afternoon or evening shift will perform duties from 12:30 PM to 5:15 PM during the week and from 1:30 PM to 5:15 PM on Fridays.
Additionally, all teachers will attend school on alternate Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
