Pakistani Scientists Develop High-Income Rose Variety for Farmers
Researchers at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad have introduced Rosa Centifolia UAF, a heat-resistant rose that can earn farmers up to Rs. 1.5 million per acre annually. Designed for Pakistan’s rising temperatures, the variety offers multiple income streams—rose oil, petals, water, and jam—with strong export potential. With a 12–15 year lifespan and high yield, it promises both sustainability and profitability for growers.
