Pakistan has introduced a homegrown anti-drone jamming gun, named Sufra, designed to neutralize cross-border “kamikaze” drones. The locally developed system can disable drones and their controllers from a range of up to 1.5 kilometers.
The Sufra gun, manufactured at the National Electronics Complex, was showcased at the Karachi Maritime Expo. During the exhibition, the system was demonstrated for its ability to jam and neutralize hostile drones.
The device operates effectively within a 30-degree adjustable angle, offering flexibility for tactical use. Within its range, it can seize control of an incoming drone and force it to land or completely disable communication between the drone and its operator.
The system is also designed to respond to multiple drone threats simultaneously, ensuring strong defense capabilities against coordinated aerial attacks.
Officials stated that the Sufra system could be deployed along Pakistan’s borders to counter cross-border threats and used at large public events in cities to enhance security measures.
