Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan for the Faizabad area in light of the prevailing law and order situation. Citizens have been urged to follow the advised alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

According to the official notification, entry of all kinds of heavy traffic into Islamabad has been suspended until further notice.

Diversion Plan for Light Traffic

Traffic from all four directions around Faizabad will be diverted at designated points to ensure smooth flow and public safety.

Diversions and Alternate Routes

Rawal Dam Chowk:

Traffic from both sides towards Faizabad will face diversion.

Commuters from Bara Kahu, Murree, and Islamabad heading to Rawalpindi should use Rawal Dam Chowk – Park Road – Captain Naeem Tufail Shaheed Chowk (Tramri Chowk) – Lehtrar Road – Khanna – Expressway.

Those heading towards the Airport should use the Kashmir Chowk – Srinagar Highway.

Garden Flyover:

I-8 residents are advised to use Zero Point – Srinagar Highway – Club Road – Rawal Dam Chowk – Park Road as an alternative.

Khanna Pul:

Traffic from both sides towards Faizabad on Expressway will be diverted.

Motorists coming from Koral towards Islamabad should use Khanna Pul – Lehtrar Road – Captain Naeem Tufail Shaheed Chowk (Tramri Chowk) – Park Road – Rawal Dam Chowk.

9th Avenue and IJP Road:

From IJP Road, commuters can take Gohar Shaheed Chowk (Gandum Godam Chowk) via Faqir Aipee Road – Srinagar Highway.

From CDA Double Road, use I-10 Service Road, then proceed to 9th Avenue and Srinagar Highway.

Similarly, vehicles from IJP Road can also use 9th Avenue – Srinagar Highway for Islamabad access.

Zero Point to Expressway:

Traffic heading towards Expressway should use Srinagar Highway – Rawal Dam Chowk – Park Road – Lehtrar Road – Khanna Pull – Expressway.

Zero Point to Faizabad via Faisal Avenue:

Commuters from Islamabad to Rawalpindi via Faisal Avenue are advised to use Zero Point – Srinagar Highway – 9th Avenue instead.

Additional Advisory

Residents of F-8, F-9, F-10, F-11, G-10, G-11, and nearby sectors traveling to or from Rawalpindi are advised to use Srinagar Highway via Golra Mor for convenience.

The Islamabad Traffic Police has requested all citizens to follow traffic advisories and cooperate with authorities to maintain order and ensure safety.
