Floodwaters have submerged the entire Kartarpur area, inundating homes, fields and even the revered Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.
Floodwaters have stranded more than 100 staff members of the Kartarpur Project Management Unit. According to rescue officials, the staff are in the process of being evacuated, with district emergency teams deployed to secure them.
Images and videos circulating on social media show the shrine surrounded by floodwaters.
