Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) chief Dr. Mahrang Baloch was granted bail by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi in a case linked to terrorism and sedition charges from October 2023.
Despite this, she remains in police custody as an ATC in Quetta extended her physical remand for 15 more days on Thursday.
Arrested on March 22, she faces allegations of attacking Quetta Civil Hospital and inciting people to violence.
The state prosecutor strongly opposed bail, arguing the charges are serious and that the investigating officer has gathered sufficient evidence.
