According to the PASHA Skill Survey, AI is reducing job openings in Pakistan’s tech industry, even as the sector continues to grow. In the past year, the industry hired 32,685 technical and 1,969 non-technical professionals, but the rise of AI tools has led to companies streamlining hiring by automating routine tasks.
Firms are now prioritizing multi-skilled professionals—those who can code, design, and also integrate AI to boost efficiency and productivity. Instead of hiring separate specialists, companies prefer versatile individuals who can handle multiple roles and leverage AI to drive greater impact.
