Quetta Customs has carried out two major enforcement operations, seizing non-customs paid vehicles valued at Rs. 272 million in an intensified drive against smuggling across Balochistan.
According to officials, the first operation resulted in the seizure of 19 high-value non-customs paid vehicles worth Rs. 122 million.
These vehicles were intercepted during a targeted enforcement action conducted by the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Quetta.
In a separate intelligence based raid, the Customs Mobile Squad, with support from FC 74 Wing, recovered another nine vehicles from a godown in Quetta.
The value of these seized vehicles is estimated at Rs. 150 million. Authorities said the raid was conducted following credible information regarding the presence of smuggled vehicles in the warehouse.
The Federal Board of Revenue has commended the Customs teams for their swift response and reiterated that strict actions will continue to safeguard national revenue and curb illegal trade.
