The government has simplified the registration process for the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program, allowing citizens to apply online from the comfort of their homes.
According to the Housing Department, the initiative has already delivered remarkable results. A total of 30,600 houses have been completed in a short span, while 1,05,700 families have received loans to construct their own homes.
In addition, 69,200 families have received the second installment of their loans to continue ongoing construction projects. The program offers easy loan terms and attractive repayment discounts to make homeownership more accessible.
Families who repay their loans within 1 to 3 years will receive a 20 percent discount, while those repaying in 4 to 6 years will get a 10 percent discount. These incentives encourage early repayment and support citizens in building their homes faster.
By enabling online registration, the government has made the process faster, more transparent, and convenient. Applicants can now join the scheme without visiting offices, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.
