According to the official notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner on November 5, 2025, schools in these areas will now operate from 7:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. until further notice.
The decision aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of students during the construction period, which has significantly affected daily commuting in and around the busy intersection.
The notification has been circulated to senior officials, including the Chief Secretary of Punjab, the Secretary to the Chief Minister, and the Secretaries of the Higher and School Education Departments.
