The Punjab government will assist the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration in launching an e-stamp system in the federal capital. The move aims to modernize land records and make property transactions easier for the public.
A ceremony at the CDA headquarters marked the signing of an agreement between the ICT administration and the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA). The agreement will bring the e-stamp paper system to Islamabad, according to a press release from the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Chief Commissioner and CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa directed the initiative. Under the agreement, Islamabad will soon introduce the e-stamp paper system alongside the digitization of land records.
Officials say these steps will modernize ICT’s land records and address common problems faced by citizens during property transfer, mutation, and sale or purchase.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon said the new e-stamp paper system will help resolve public difficulties and improve service delivery.
The e-stamp system is expected to make property transactions more transparent, efficient, and secure for Islamabad residents.
