The Punjab School Education Department has released the revised winter working hours for teachers, effective from tomorrow Monday, 27 October 2025, till Monday, 15 April 2026.
According to the official notification, teachers in single-shift schools will work from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, while Friday’s hours will be reduced to 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
In double-shift schools, morning shift teachers will follow the same schedule — 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday.
For the afternoon or evening shift, teachers will report from 12:45 PM to 4:00 PM between Monday and Thursday, while on Fridays, their timing will be 1:45 PM to 4:00 PM.
Additionally, teachers will be required to attend school on alternate Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon for administrative, training, or academic planning activities.
