The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has sounded a fresh flood warning According to the NDMA, heavy rainfall is forecast in the upper catchments of the Ravi between August 30 and September 3 Current readings show a discharge of 147,000 cusecs at Balloki, with a flood wave expected to reach Sadhnai around September 2–3, potentially pushing flows to 125,000–150,000 cusecs.
